How to start? 6 Months, 1 Week ago
I have had redj installed now for about 2 months but I find it extremely confusing and so far have not been able to use it.
I would really like to either read some documentation on what to do, or read a tutorial or view a video explaining how to set it up?

I have seen mention of something that has to be added to the .htaccess file but not sure what code has to be added?

The same with redirects. I have absolutely no idea how to set up redirects?

Would really appreciate some help.
Thank you.

Hi,
you are absolutely right, and it's my fault. A good tutorial on ReDJ (and also Tag Meta) is absolutely necessary.

Currently I'm working on adding two new functionality for ReDJ 2.0 , that are the most required by my users:

- Dynamic Destination URL;
- Different redirection type: 301, 307 or 200 (internal redirect);

As soon as these are completed, I'll release a full tutorial for newbies and advanced users.

For now,
I would like to help you starting to use ReDJ. First steps are related to installation. Here you can find a brief tutorial:

www.sistemistica.it/forum/11-redj-in-english/415-installation-instructions.html#415

Then, tell me some example of redirection you need to get, and I'll tell you how to configure ReDJ.

Regards,
Luigi

Thank you for the example.
The main problem that i am now having is that I have setup a custom error page, but that still looks like the original 404 error page! I have seen mention that an article can be used as an error page and this is the look I would prefer, but I'm not sure how to do that?
My site is http://www.thefunkypenguin.co.uk/
so that you can see the 404 page that is appearing.

It works...
As you can see,
it "seems" like the original one, but is your custom error page. Now you have the contact email that is missing in the original one.

If you need to create a different error page, ADD a new item into custom error pages manager, put inside the HTML code, and put its ID (maybe 3) into plugin. That's all.

Let me know,
Luigi
