I am having a problem with your rediretion component.

The component and plugin installed as expected.

Although, as seen in the 3rd image, while trying to create a new entry, I got this error.

Does this component expect a specific version of PHP? (I am still on 4)

I have turned on the 404 option using the default page #2 that is installed.

I created a redirect from eventregistrar.org/SomethingOdd ---> eventregistrar.org/administrator/index.php and it doesn't work, nor does it use the new 404 page.

Do you have any suggestions?

I'm not able to see image three but from image two it seems there is a mistake in item configuration.
Try this:

From URL: /SomethingOdd
To URL: http://{siteurl}/administrator/index.php

Your suggestion didn't solve the problem. Thank you for offering it.

I wanted to be sure everything was installed properly so I went to uninstall and then reinstall the component and the plugin.

I got an error with uninstalling the plugin



Now it appears I cannot install or uninstall the plugin. It shows as being installed but it has no information in the list as other plugins do.

I do not see any of the files from the original zip file for the plugin on the server. Do you have a suggestion of what to look for?

Check if these files are already in folder plugin\system:

redj.php
redj.xml

And let me know.

I was able to go into MySQL and remove the entry in the database for the plugin.

I then reinstalled both component and plugin, published the plugin and added new entries for the component.

It works as expected.
