I have an issue with redirections.

I have installed your component and plugin on my site running joomla 1.5.14. The plugin is enabled.

I have created the following redirect:

From url: /test

To url: http://{siteurl}/index.php?option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&catid=744&sobi2Id=134&Itemid=9

when I go to: www.softwareintelligence.co.uk/test i get an Http 404 file not found error

What am I missing?

Hello,
you are missing an ErrorDocument option in your .htaccess file.

As you can see, the error page you get from Apache, so your call doesn't arrive to Joomla (and therefore to ReDJ).

Add this to the end of .htaccess file located in your Joomla root folder:

Hi Luigi,

I have added the code to the htacess file, but this does not seem to make any difference.

I have attached a copy of the htacess file, in case i have a setting wrong in this.

Look forward to any other ideas you may have.

It seems correct, but your Apache web server doesn't take the directive.

So, please, verify that the file name is ".htaccess" (start with a dot) and send me the file as attachment, not just a word copy, because I need to check for strange chars or something like this.

Next step will be to verify that your Apache allow local directive (like those into .htaccess). For this check, you need to look into httpd.conf file...

I have attached the .htaccess file.

Not sure where the httpd.conf file is located.

Not sure if this will help, but the site is on a dedicated server, not sure if this changes anything.

It seems ok except that file name DOESN'T start with a dot. Have you renamed it???

yes it has a .(dot) at the front of the file name online.

Is there anything else I can try to get this working?

Yes,
you should check directive "AllowOverride" related to your Joomla root directory. It should be configured in httpd.conf file (Apache configuration).

Directory type needed to permit ErrorDocument is "FileInfo". So, you should have an entry like one of the following:





Check your Apache configuration.
