Hi,
Tag Meta works checking REQUEST_URI as server variable. So, in general you should specify the real target URL as in your case. There's also a plugin option to use REDIRECT_URL instead of REQUEST_URI, useful for some situation where internal redirection happens.

Your settings are perfect, even in the ordering.

There could be some strange situations (e.g. SOBI2) but these are "exceptions" to the rule...

Enjoy,
Luigi

Yes,
is the problem I'm trying to correct!

It's because the internal redirect can be done changing server variables as first thing. THe problem is to change every variable in a right way, as Apache does... :)

Anyway, very near to a solution.

Hi,
last ReDJ version starts to support dynamic destinations through macros. As example, on a URL like this:
http://www.yoursite.com/section/cat/index.php?task=view&id=32#anchorthis
You could use:
To URL: http:///
To obtain this at "runtime":
To URL: http://www.yoursite.com/cat/index.php
In your case, if "component/content/article/59-" is static, the following ToURL should work as you neeed:
To URL: http:///
Let me know,

Hi,
ther's nothing strange in .htaccess file.
On my local system REDIRECT_URL works fine even with SOBI2. I don't know why this not happens on your live site. Should be veirified that $_SERVER['REDIRECT_URL'] is not empty, but I can't do it for you on a production site.

Last thing, I really don't like the way SOBI2 works. It alters server variables as it needs, ancd this can cause many problems with other components (as in our case). To work with Tag Meta, as example, if you are not able to understand why REDIRECT_URL is not set, you should understand how SOBI2 changes the REQUEST_URI (or uninstall Tag Meta) and use these, but I think this is crazy.

If you still need help let me know (be advised we should work on production site).

Regards,
Luigi

Hi Dennis,
I'm sorry for this strange problem, and I want to give you all the support to solve it.

First,
to uninstall Tag Meta plugin, follow these instructions:
MANUALLY REMOVE TAG META PLUGIN
In plugin\system delete tagmeta.php and tagmeta.xml files
In administrator\language\en-GB delete en-GB.plg_system_tagmeta.ini file
In administrator\language\it-IT delete it-IT.plg_system_tagmeta.ini file
Also, check the plugin list installed from Joomla backend. If "System - Tag Meta" is present, you need to delete this row from jos_plugins table.

At this point you could try to reinstall just the plugin. If you still have problem, I can do it for you (if you trust), just let me know.

Regards,

Hi,
ReDJ can intercept the 404 error status and redirect to a custom URL for you. The problem in your case is that with these URLs (like the example one) you don't get a 404 error (this is due to combination of .htaccess and Joomla SEO settings). Infact, Joomla return the homepage.

Try to change configuration enabling SEF URLs into Joomla if you can.

Let me know if you need more help.

Hi,
first thanks you for purchasing Enterprise version, and sorry for delay for answer (I were on holidays).

About your problem, please first try a 301 redirect as follow:
From URL: /index.php\?option=com_content&view=section&id=4&Itemid=37
To URL - http:///index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userprofile&user=81
Note that you need to escape the question mark (\?). About the internal redirect, we have found a problem with some URL related to components (while this should work without problems with articles as in your case). We are working to fix the problem. A solution will be available in a few days (otherwise we will refund all the users).

I apologize for the inconvenient.

Regards,
