Is upgrade simply installing the new version over the old via Joomla component install? Or do you have to uninstall the 1.2 then install 1.3

If uninstalling 1.2 first, is the database retained?

Hi, and happy new year to you too.

For upgrading ReDJ,
just uninstall both old component and plugin (database will be preserved). Then, install new component and plugin (database structure will be altered as needed). Finally, enable plugin and configure your settings inside.
