First let me say, Redirect has been a great Program.

I am having a few problems with my upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3.

I followed your instructions and removed both the 1.2 Components and plug in.

I then installed the 1.3 Component, which worked fine. However, when I went to install the 1.3 plug in, it seemed to install but I could not find the program in the plugin list. I have looked at number of times for it. And as a result I have not be able to activate it.

I tried re-installing the plug in, but the system said it was already installed.

When I went into the component section I have a number of pages listing redirects, but am only Able to access the first page. When I hit the second page link it does nothing. I realize it might have something to do with my plug in not being activated.

I have looked at a manual unistall of the plugin, but there are two redirects and php and xml files and I am unsure which one to unistall.

First, problem on the pagination is not related to the plugin, it's my fault. I'm fixing this issue and releasing a new version as soon as possible.

About the plugin, it's strange you aren't able to see it in plugin list. So, to be sure, remove the plugin manually and reinstall it. To remove, it's very easy:

1) Go in the folder \plugins\system and delete two files:

redj.php
redj.xml

Also remove language files. Go in administrator\language folder, and for each language (it-IT, en-GB, de-DE) delete the file xx-XX.plg_system_redj.ini.

2) Go on MySQL table jos_plugins (prefix could be different if you changed it), find the row where name is "System - ReDJ", and delete it:

Now you can reinstall and activate the plugin.

I'm fixig the issue on pagination.

As per your instructions, I manually deleted

1. redj.php
2. redj.xml
3. redj file in the language file.

However, I am not sure where the mysqul file is that you are referring to.

Here is where it is at now:

Redj appears in the component section and I am able to unistall it.

Redj appears in the plug in section where you can unistall it, but it does not appear in the list plugins where you can enable it.

After deleting all the plugin files manually, it still appears in the list of plugin files in the unistall section. When I tried to unistall it through Joomla administrator, I get this error message "manifest files invalid or not found."

This may be a result of me not knowing where the mysql file is.

I was able to reinstall the new component file, but it would not let me install the redj plugin because it said it was already installed.

I am hoping I can resolve this issue, because I have a large number of redirects which are no longer working.

when I say "MySQL" I'm talking about the Joomla database. You can delete files, but in a database table called jos_plugins there's a row where is written that plugin is already installed. You shoud delete that row, and that you can reinstall the plugin.

To do this it's better to use a database manager program, but which one it depends on your hosting provider (e.g. usually there's a php script named phpMyAdmin).

I deleted the files (including the line in the database) and I was finally able to upload the new plugin for redj 1.31 along with the component 1.31.

However, I have the same problem as before.

The plugin does not show up in the plugin manager list and as a result I am unable to activate or enable the Redj plugin. At this point, none of the redirect works.

Curiously, the plugin does show up in the Joomla's uninstall plugin list.

It's strange that plugin is installed and not listed in plugin list.

Could you please send me a screenshot of your plugin list? Be sure to set "show all", and unset "filter", "type" and "status".

But don't worry, we can enable plugin in the database. If needed I'll tell you how.

I have sent you two emails.

The first email provides five overlapping screen shots of the list of plugins in the plugin manager. I couldn't fit them on one screen (entitle "Screen 1" Screen 2 through to "screen 5." Redj does not appears in this list, so I am unable to activate it.

The second email has two screen shots entitled "Extension 1" and "Extension 2". These are screen shots of the "Extension manager" where I can unistall the plugin. Strangely, Redj appears in this list, line 31.
